 Well now, who are you then? …….Part of that Power which would the Evil ever do, and ever does the Good……..   A riddle! Say what it implies?.......I am the Spirit that denies!  And rightly too;  for all that doth begin should rightly to destruction run. 

Artist Bio

Ingrid was born in Germany in 1950 and has been living in South Africa since 1978. For the past seven years she has been an active visual artist living in the Western Cape.  Emma Willemse, Monika von Moltke and Myfawny Bekker are a few of the tutors who enriched and influenced Ingrid's art making.
Ingrid is part of Vernissage a successive annual group exhibition. Ingrid has been part of various group exhibitions opposing the upcoming fracking in South Africa.
Ingrid's artworks for the Red Data Pavilion exhibition taking place in Venice during the 56th Biennale titled, Pricks of Conscience, embodies stitched thoughts on white Kikoi cloth expressing her ambivalence and serving to contradict the text “not sure if I really care” and “who am I to judge”.
